Ashtanga Yoga

“It’s about the quality of the Yoga, not the quantity.”
Manju Jois

Tuesdays | 18h (60 minutes) Starting 8th April

Ashtanga as it is, energizing and dynamic. Based on the Primary series, we practice with traditional foundations in the 8 limbs of Yoga.

Origins and Effects
Ashtanga Yoga, popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois, is a devotional practice aimed at strengthening body, mind, and spirit. In practice we warm the body and move through an internal cleansing process, while purifying the nervous system and organs.

Supportive vocal cues and hands-on adjustments are offered to help you build a steady and gradual practice. With Ujjayi breath, synchronized vinyasas, Drishti gazing points, and Bandhas (internal energy locks), the practice turns into a moving meditation.

We offer Ashtanga Flow and Half Primary Led classes. After a few sessions you’ll already notice the transformative benefits of this holistic practice. On Full and New Moon days, we practice the Chandra Krama sequence with pranayama and meditation.

Why Practice Ashtanga?
• Prioritize quality over quantity. Practice with deep breathing and mindful awareness.
• Sweat out toxins, strengthen muscles, and absorb Prana (life energy).
• This practice invites you on a devotional path, fostering a sense of belonging.
• Reduce stress, practice close to nature, and find more spiritual clarity in your day.
• Be guided with care and mindfulness, these classes offer an opportunity to experience life from a broader perspective.
