Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and energetic practice. Based on the Primary series of traditional yoga, popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois. By practicing Ashtanga yoga we strengthen a healthy body and mindset. Through an internal cleaning process, we purify our nervous system and organs. Supportive vocal adjustments and modifications to build up slowly are offered during the practice.
We offer you half- up to full Primary Led classes. On Tuesday we mostly have full primary series, for more experienced practicioners. The Thursday classes are accessible to all levels of experience and a great way to begin with Ashtanga. After a few sessions we already notice the benefits from this pure and holistic practice. During full and new moon we practice the Chandra Krama sequence and meditation.
There is the possibility of combining Ashtanga Yoga classes with Yin Yoga classes.
This combination gives our body the balance and exercise it really needs and therefore we recommend it. For more information, please contact the teacher. If possible, bring a small towel. The practice is guided in English and partly Portuguese.

Francisca Schouten has been practicing Yoga since 2004 and began teaching in 2014 in the Netherlands, having trained 200 RYT with several teacher trainings in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2015 she began to teach at Budadharma.
