“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.”
John Muir
Take a day to slow down, reconnect with nature, and engage in meaningful activities on our land. This retreat invites you to step away from daily routines, practice mindfulness, breathe deeply, and give back to the Earth, all while embracing the principles of permaculture and the spirit of Dana (generosity-based contributions).
The Four Elements
Our theme for this day, will center around the Four Elements – Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. These elements are fundamental to understanding existence, symbolizing the interconnectedness of all things and reminding us of the impermanence that shapes our lives.
Mindfulness and Yoga
Begin the day with mindfulness and yoga based practices, cultivating deeper awareness of the natural world and our connection to it. You will enter the day with a renewed sense of peace and presence, fostering a deeper connection with the land.
Nature Based Volunteer Work
Together, we will spend the the day engaging in hands-on permaculture inspired projects, such as preparing and covering soil, planting trees, bushes and herbs. These tasks not only nurture our environment but also foster a mindful approach to preserving and nurturing the land.
Reflection and Closing Circle
The day will close with a reflection circle, allowing time to connect, share insights, and acknowledge the impact of our efforts on both ourselves and the land. This is a space for gratitude, inspiration and connection.
Children Friendly
This retreat day is children friendly, providing a welcoming environment for families to engage with nature together.
